Storage
If the salad has been sitting out at room temperature for more than 2 hours, discard it as it may have become unsafe to eat.
Since this salad isn't tossed together with the dressing, it will last longer than most salads in the refrigerator. Store leftover salad covered in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days. If you toss it together before serving, it'll wilt faster and is best eaten in 1-2 days.

I made the Southern Layer Salad for a party I was attending. I always enjoyed this salad in the past with hard boiled eggs and celery so I added those to Laura’s recipe. I also doubled the dressing and made it in a 9x13 pan that I could leave behind. It was magnificent and a huge hit! The ranch seasoning added a whole new taste. Will be making again next week for Super Bowl!
