This vegetable soup is so flavorful, delicious and light. It’s filling without the heaviness. Shared the soup with a neighbor who was under the weather and she loved it too.

We LOVE a good, homemade vegetable soup and this is very similar to what we make, which is my Mama's recipe. We use a ham bone and smoked sausage cuts in ours plus ALL of the vegetables that I'm able to eat due to having Chron's. It's a must for cold Winter days or just anytime you want a good old cup of Mama's vegetable soup.

This was perfect today while we are snowed in. I did use some hamburger meat and was great. But, I cannot get me grilled cheese sandwiches looking as good as yours!

You do not need to be a vegetarian to love this soup! It's easy, quick, and who doesn't need those 2 reasons to make this soup. I may not always have broccoli on hand but I do have cabbage. Wonder if it would be ok to swap those 2 ingredients? Great Soup!!
