You can assemble the ring in advance and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before baking. Assemble per your recipe, cover it tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, and store it in the refrigerator. You might need to adjust the baking time slightly as chilled dough may take a bit longer to cook through.
