I'm not sure what happened with your experience too. I've never gotten this feedback. You could instead use a carrot/potato mixture only instead if your palette is sensitive to the peas in the can. Maybe your can had a disproportionate amount.

We don't find it spicy at all, so I guess the white pepper is the only ingredient lending that spice level for you. I hope your teenagers enjoyed it! 🙂

Delicious! Will keep this. I didn't have half n half or mixed vegetables, used 2% milk, 3 blend peppers, some green beans, and a diced potato.
